DLT participant

The DLT participant of the registration system (so-called peer) operates its own technological node and implements the connection to the DLT. He or she actively works within the DLT Register System, sets up asset accounts and participates in transaction confirmation. It does not need a standard CSD Prague interface to operate within the DLT Register and therefore does not need to be an existing CSD Prague participant.

Only legal entities designated by the DLT Rules may become a DLT participant, primarily licensed entities such as banks, securities dealers, crowdfunding platforms, etc.

The DLT participant is in a business relationship with the account holder and pays fees for transactions or account maintenance in the DLT Register according to the CSD Prague business model. It includes these costs in its own billing to the account holder.

A DLT Register system participant is a key player in the digital ecosystem that enables secure and efficient asset account management. By operating its own technology hub, it has full control over its operations and can respond quickly to the needs of its clients. Connectivity to DLT ensures transparency and trustworthiness of all transactions, which is essential for building long-term relationships with clients. A DLT participant does not use CSD Prague communication channels towards its clients, but is completely flexible in implementing DLT into its own systems and client applications.
